Entonces, entiendo todo sobre 'lo/la/el que', pero 'lo de' me confude. ¿Cómo se usa? ¿Podéis darme ejemplos?

Si me equivoco en mi español, corregideme por favor. ¡Gracias!

"Si me equivoco en mi español, corregideme..." (that would be the "vosotros" command) - mountaingirl123, Nov 22, 2011
A pesar de interesarte principalmente en el español de Mexico. ¡Anda mujer! - samdie, Nov 22, 2011
in this case I don't use the subjunctive? - Himself12794, Nov 22, 2011
No subjenctive unless it's an "if...then...would..." situation. Example: "If I were wrong [then] you would correct me"- "Si me equivocara, me corregiríais" - mountaingirl123, Nov 22, 2011
ah, gracias! - Himself12794, Nov 22, 2011

Maybe I can help.

As you know, "lo de" generally means "the deal about", or "the thing with". In this case "lo" is a neuter pronoun that refers to an intangible, such as a thought or an occurrence.

For example: ¿Oíste lo de Federico?" Did you hear about [the deal about, the news about] Federico?

"Supe lo de tu hermana" - I found out about [the deal about, the news about] your sister.

"No comprendo lo de ese artículo" - I don't understand the deal with that article/I don't understand what that article is about.

I hope that this has helped to somewhat clear up your confusion.
