Stop with the curtains

Stop with the curtains

I want to translate this sentence: deja las cortinas.

But, "leave the curtains" doesn't sound very well to me. I am trying to get another translation for that if this is not correct.

Thank you.

Leave the curtains

sounds just fine in English. If you are trying to say that some other person should allow the curtains to remain, "Leave the curtains" is perfect.

By the way, we don't say "Doesn't sound well" in this case. It is "Doesn't sound good". This is also true of the verbs to look, to seem, etc; This doesn't look good; This doesn't seem good.

Hi nila

Your title phrase is usable but in the following scenario.

You are talking to someone/friend and they are constantly talking about their new curtains, colour, design, cost, texture, etc, to such an extent that it is now becoming annoying. Although being somewhat rude you can say something like,

For Christ's sake, "stop with the curtains" - meaning "please stop talking about your curtains".

Propongo: "Leave the curtains alone" - Ya deja las cortinas.

Try using leave the curtains open or leave the curtains closed. That means that nobody should touch the curtains, just leave them as they are.
