Agua - feminine noun
In 1.3 Food and Articles section Flashcards come up - "El agua"
i know that "agua" is a feminine noun, why "El" ??

Agua isn't a feminine noun. Some words don't follow rules, and this is one of the exceptions. Its masculine, but ends in "A".
Agua is definitely a feminine noun. However, it is a special case where it has an "el" instead of a "la". Common words like these are map, which becomes el mapa (however map is masculine). Think of saying la agua. You would have two a's next to each other, and Spanish is all about ease of pronunciation. Hope this helps.

Agua is most definitely a feminine noun. It changed to "el agua" purely for pronunciation matters. Since it is feminine, it requires the feminine adjective.
Also, this has been discussed numerous times, so trying doing a search on the forum for further help.
