'Bebe' is one of those words where the gender is given by the article. The word itself doesn't change. So, for a baby boy, you'd say 'un bebe' and for a girl, 'una bebe.'

.

Sandra es una bebe.

.

(And it is 'bebe,' and not 'bebé'; I checked. wink )

bebé es una palabra que no tiene género, se debe agregar un artículo (determinado o indeterminado) para darle el género y número que queramos.

Artículos indeterminados: Un - masculino singular. Una - femenino singular. Unos - masculino plural. Unas - femenino plural.

Artículos determinados: el - masculino singular. la - femenino singular. los - masculino plural. las - femenino plural.

Ejemplos:

El bebé / the baby (boy).

La bebé / the baby (girl).

Los bebes / the babys (boys).

Las bebes/ the babys (girls).

Un bebé / a baby boy.

Unos bebes / a baby boys.

Una bebé / a baby girl.

Unas bebes / a baby girls.

¿Y si son un bebé varón y una bebé niña al mismo tiempo?

En este caso usamos los artículos masculinos en plural.

Karla y Pedro son unos bebes.

Karla y Pedro son los bebes de mi hermana Rita.

bebé is a masculine noun so it would be un bebé, but when the sex of the bebé is known, corresponding masculine and feminine forms of adjectives and definite articles are used. Google una bébé and see the usage.

Notice in our dictionary the noun is called masculine, but it also says bebé is (m & f) un bébe macho y una bebé hembra
