Infinitives are verbs in the unconjugated form. Consider the following in English: "to run" (infinitive), "run" and "ran" (conjugated in present and past tenses). In Spanish, the same verbs would be" "correr" (infinitive), "corre" and "corrió" (conjugated in present and past tense for he/she).
