Well - it is an English word so would not be pronounced in Spanish. - ian-hill, Nov 11, 2011
Elijah, if you are looking for Biblical references to words, Biblegateway has several Spanish translations free. - katydew, Nov 11, 2011

I agree that it shouldn't be pronounced in English, but if you're asking for a translation, behold means "he aquí."

The Spanish dictionary on this site has Mirar as the verb but it has to be conjugated into the imperative form. So that gives you these options:

  • Mira for informal singular

  • Mire for formal singular

  • Miren for both formal & informal plural

  • Mirad for informal plural (vosotros)

"Mirar" means "to watch" or "to look (at)" which is basically how "Behold!" is used; that is, it's interchangeable with "Look!", "Watch!", "Hear!", "Recognize!", etc etc...

Hope this helps. smile---
