Your day: You groan, and wake up early morning

You eat breakfast but have to rush

You have no food left, so after work you need to go shopping

You go to work, and you have to hard tasks on the computer

You type up your projects in half the time then hand on the computer

You clock out mid afternoon

Go to the grocery store, buy some groceries

You go home, talk to your loved one you married

You greet your kids

Cook them dinner

They eat with you, they are healthy and happy

Your son/daughter shows you their A+ on a math quiz

You're so happy with your child

You talk to your spouse and children about your day

You hear your daughter's excitement as she talks about her day

You help your daughter with her homework because you have enough schooling to do so

You watch TV because you have enough money to do so

You change your clothes to your nightgown

You drink a cold glass of water

Sleep in your bed, in your warm, safe house

Someone else's day:

They groan, wake up early morning

You have no food, no money for breakfast

You have no food at all, but have no money for shopping

At work, you do back-bracking low-pay work in factories or fields

You must do all your work by hand since there is no computers

You clock out late, trying to make more money

You beg at the store, no one gives you money

You go home, and you kiss your loved one but you can't marry them because of their color, race, religion, or sexuality

You greet your starving, sick children

Tell them there is no food tonight again, and they cry

Your son complains about you not affording to send him to school

You feel so sorry, but there is not money for school let alone food

You can't talk with your spouse because your sick and your voice is fading

You are partially deaf and cannot afford hearing aids so you do not hear most of you daughter's voice

You can't teach your children anything tonight, you do not know how to read, write

You can't change your clothes, you have one dirty pair

You drink muddy water that will eventually make you ill

and you sleep in a cold house without a bed.

It's good to take time to consider others who are less fortunate and to be grateful for how good we really have it :) I hope you don't mind that I offered a couple of suggestions below and also on your profile you have a little type "knew that' :) - Kiwi-Girl, Nov 9, 2011

I never realized how well I had it until I did a lot of travelling to countries where $20 a month is a normal paycheck.

It is nice to be reminded of how fortunate (blessed) we all are to even have computers to enjoy and use as tools, in most counties that is a huge luxury!
