On my trip to Cancun.
I heard some Spanish speaking children, hollering, "(sounds like) wah-kee-tow!", to a cat nearby. Is that our English version of, "Here kitty-kitty.." (?) Or, were they using a nickname for the local Tomcat?
I was wondering if the word that I was hearing the Children chant, was; spelled, haquito, juaquito, or guaquito? I know the proper word for a cat. I was wondering if the word was slang or a cute Name.
