Grammar?? Present tense then doing??
I'm confused or more to the point I'm stupid...... If I say.....yo estudio...it means I study.... ok? If I say.....Estoy estudiando....I am studying....... ok? I am not sure when to use YO and when to use ESTOY. Ther are two verbs TO BE. HELP PLEASE!

You don't even need the 'yo' since it is implied in the verb, estudio (I study). Yo is the personal pronoun (in English it means 'I'). You can use 'Yo' to really stress that you are the one doing the action but usually it is left out since Spanish incorporates the subject and verb in one word - estudio.
Estoy estudiando means 'I am studying'. It is a combination of the verb estar (using the Yo form of estar) and the verb estudiar. This is called a gerundio in Spanish.
I'm a beginner too so there will be other better answers but this is a simple explanation.
(Yo) estudio español = I study Spanish. That is that you are studying Spanish and it may or may not be at the present moment. Estoy estudiando implies that you are doing it at this precise moment.
