whats the difference between (el, la and ela)?

i just want to know what is the difference between EL, LA and LAS if its possible?
for example:
las habitaciones = Rooms
la cocina = kitchen
el dormitorio = bedrooms
what is the difference between these three words?

El is used for masculine singular words (dormitorio), la is used for feminine singular words (cocina). The plural forms are los (dormitorios) and las (cocinas).

one is masulin one is fiminen and one is fiminen or masclen plural
