i need help translating Dominican Spanish

Hi, I have a nine year old sponsor child who lives in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. I receive letters from him, but because of the Spanish that is spoken there and or slang that is used in that area I need advice on finding resources to help me translate his letters as well as learn the language so that I may reply back to him in his own language. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Dani Hall

HI dani, welcome to the forum
I am pretty sure you will not be able to use the translator for this purpose, so if you wish, you can open a thread and post the letter there, we will asist you translating it.
