To Make Someone Nervous?

To Make Someone Nervous?

How would you translate this sentence: "She was different for reasons that made the monsters nervous"?

Specifically, I am not sure how to say "made the monsters nervous". Would you use preocuparse, poner, some form of hacer, or something else?

Thanks for your help.

Ponerles nerviosos and hacerles sentir nervioso both work.
