In this case, you would use creer, to believe.
In the affirmative, it is not subjunctive, but indicative, because you are expressing something you believe to be true:
Creo que ganaremos - I believe (that) we will win.
Creo que ganamos - I believe (that) we won.
Creo que hemos ganado - I believe (that) we have won.
But, in the negative, it would be subjunctive, because you are expressing doubt:
No creo que ganemos - I do not believe (that) we will win.
No creo que hayamos ganado - I do not believe (that) we have won.
