Spanish grammar questions
Why in Spanish is there and upside down question mark and exclamation point?
It seems very odd...
And why in English we have sentences, names, places, and others start with a capital letter, and only a few in Spanish have capitals?
Can some one answer my grammar questions please?

Arabic and Hebrew have no capitalization. Languages that are not alphabet-based e.g. Chinese, Japanese and Korean also do not (the very concept of capitalization makes no sense for these languages). (from Wikipedia) "Other languages vary in their use of capitals. For example, in German the first letter of all (emphasis added) nouns is capitalized, while in Romance languages the names of days of the week, months of the year, and adjectives of nationality, religion and so on generally begin with a lower-case letter."
You might better ask, "Why should other languages (many of which are older than English) imitate the English customs of capitalization?"
