What does tenga un abrazo mean?
Hola mis amigos, my friend sent me an email and ended it by saying "tenga un abrazo", I've never seen this before and of course when I translate it I get "have a hug"...can someone tell me exactly what it means?

You've pretty much got it right. It's an affectionate closing for close friends.

Yep, "hugs". When I lived in Caracas the traditional greeting and farewell was "un abrazo y beso", a hug and a kiss, usually one of those air kissy things to the cheek. Even now (mumble mumble) years later my friends often end their e-mails and facebook posts with just "abrazo".
My grandmother always used to sign her letters "besos y abrazos a todos"..."kisses and hugs to everyone"
