-¿Vais a salir?

-Pues no lo sé, de salir, iremos a picar algo.

Supongo que lo que dirá es "antes de salir, iremos a picar algo", es correcto?

Gracias

¨Salir¨ means going out and ¨picar¨ is eating something light, like a snack.

I think de + infinitive gives a kind of conditional sense. So here this might be saying something like,

Pues no lo sé, de salir, iremos a picar algo - Well I don't know, but should we leave, we are going to get something to eat.

You are totally right Eddie. - 00e657d4, Oct 28, 2011
Yes, thank you Eddy, you're right. but I think "if we are to go out, we will go have a bite", there's no subjunctive in the sentence, isn't it? - tequiero2011, Oct 28, 2011
Modified phrase to give a true conditional sense. - Eddy, Oct 28, 2011

Well, I don't know, about going out, we are going to .....something.

P.s. "Picar" can mean so many things.
