Can "cita" be used this way?
I wanted to know the boundries of (una) cita. So, if I wanted to say, "I have a lunch date on Tuesday with my friend," would "una cita" be the best option. I don't know if it would be taken as something that is more than a friendship.
Tengo una cita con mi amiga el martes.
Hagamos una cita.
How do you express "lunch date" anyway? Cita de almuerzo?
Mil Gracias.

Cita can just mean appointment. Tengo una cita con el doctor, for example. I think your usage here is correct.
I would say 'cita para almorzar' for lunch date ![]()
