May I just point one thing out?

In Spanish and other romance languages the number 7 billions is 7 mil millones.

So, 7 billion people is 7 mil millones de personas.

That is 7 thousand millions, well that's obvious but just saying how Spanish speakers call that number. I personally think it's more accurate.
