Book Recommendations?
I'll be finishing my college Spanish 101 course soon and am looking for recommendations for a challenging, but doable Spanish book I could try reading between the end of 101 and the beginning of 102, which is about a month. I'm thinking about 150 pages would be good. I don't want anything too hard, but I do definitely want to be challenged so no "one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish" kind of books! Obviously I don't mind looking up a lot of words. Maybe a 'young adult' book would be appropriate? I'm not sure... So, any good recommendations to reenforce Spanish 101 and prepare/get ahead for Spanish 102?

I'm not sure exactly what Spanish 101 entails, but in my high school Spanish 3 class last year, we read an adaptation (by Andrade) of the epic novel "El Cid." The chapters are only 1-2 pages long, but they use a lot of vocabulary, and all kinds of verb tenses, including the subjunctive. It was a good starter book, even though 48 pages is a little small. (: Look it up and see if it's what you're looking for.
The ones I like to recommend is Mariana Ferrer books, and Armando Fuentes Aguirre "Caton", those are little 5-6 thousand words books maybe, Caton's books are a little longer. Since Mariana's are aimed at helping spanish learners, are using lots of new vocabulary without overloading peolpe with obscure terms nobody uses anymore.
So those too authors are good starters for anyone looking for an easy read to practice and increase vocabulary.
