Formal Letter

Question

Is there a convention other than writing simply, Señor Lopez address etc or Señora Lopez.

What I"m asking is what is the most acceptable way to write the address on the envelope of a formal letter.

Perhaps it is that simple: Señor or Señora Lopez but I'd like to be sure. Thanks
