What is reírse is the present progressive?

Would it be "Se está riendo." or "Se está ríendo."? Basically, do you keep the accent already in reírse or do you always simply make the ending -iendo?

Also, what would it be if I put the reflexive pronoun at the end?

Thanks in advance for the help. grin

In this case, it is "se está riendo" without an accent.

But, you don't always just add -iendo.

Leer = leyendo

Traer = trayendo

(Just to name a couple)

You would say "riendo". ---

The present progressive in Spanish is made by adding the ending "...endo or ando" unless the last vowel of the verb you are conjugating is "i" like "reir", "dormir", "subir", etc. In this case you would need to write or say, "riendo, durmiendo, subiendo" These verbs fall into the irregular verbs category. Verbs like Ser would be siendo, but the same Estar (which is the other half of ser to make "to be" in English), would be estando.
