Is there a difference?

How would I say "I am blessed" in spanish? Not "I am blessed" as a feeling, but "I am blessed" as your position in life? Someone will say they are blessed because of how they feel or someone will say they are blessed because of who they are or where they are. Is there a difference?

Yes, there is a difference. As it regards my position in life, soy bendecido. For example, the pastor of our church will ask the congregation ¿Somos bendecidos?

I guess you could 'feel' blessed, and in that case you would use estar, but I've never actually heard anyone express "I feel blessed" using estar though.

I've heard some "feel" blessed which was odd to me, but I needed an understanding. Thank you very much. - Gigirl24, Oct 21, 2011

There is a difference in meaning that can be achieved by using "ser" or "estar", but i agree with Jack, I've never heard it used with estar.

Perhaps you could try the word "suerte"; lucky, instead of blessed.

Or maybe also try using the word "siento"; I feel, instead of the "estar" I am verb.
