Déjame explicarlo.

¡Que le expliques!

¿No te gusta?

Que sí me gusta......

Cuida de ella.......

¿Que cuida de quien?

One more:

¡Emilia! Que todo ha sido malentendido, ¡yo te quiero!

Another one:

Papá, por favor. Que ya no soy una niña.

It's.......the Spain remake of "Cheers" and the language is very colloquial but it's great. The first use I get, the second I sort of wonder they would use que there (not Es que sí me gusta, just Que sí me gusta.) and the third "¿Que cuida de quien?" really seems like I would say "Cuida de quien?". The fourth seems like he really ate the "es" from "Es que todo ha sido malentendido, ¡yo te quiero!"

My hubby says all the "que" does is add emphasis =) like in this one -- "Que sí me gusta"

Papá, por favor. Que ya no soy una niña....The "que" can be translated along the lines of "porque" or "por la razón que"...

I remember a while back I found this phrase--

Ayúdame que yo También soy Mexicano

That threw me off a bit... jaja... but the wonderful people here helped me out. smile

This could be way off, but I found a phrase "que si quieres arroz?" In my source it translates as "I said, do you want rice/" Could your "si" be without an accent? "I said, I like...."?????
