Por vs. Para sentences

For spanish homework I have to choose between por and para in the following sentences:
Ellos van a discutir (por/para) ese programa de televisión.
¿(Por/Para) cuándo estará lista la tarea? ¿Tardarás mucho más?
My guess is para for the first and for the second, but I'm not sure. Any help would be great. Thanks!
