How do you find the stem?

I am trying to figure out how you decide what the stem is for each verb.

Welcome to the forum. Here is a link to our reference section that talks about this. Basically, all Spanish verbs end in -ar, -er, or -ir in the infinitive form. Remove the -ar, -er, or -ir ending and you have the stem.
