This is one of my test questions. What do you think she means by this?

De la lectura para la séptima en el horario diario ¿cuáles son tres hechos que más le convincieron hacerse—o no hacerse--dentista?

From the reading for the seventh in the daily schedule, what are three facts that most convinced he/she/you to become, or not become, a dentist?

I really struggled with that. Thank you. the "ieron" made me think that it was asking about other people - plural, not me. - Sylvo, Oct 16, 2011

Sylvo it's conjugated as convincieron because it's in third person plural for the preterit - the 3 facts (a plural subject) are doing the convincing to he/she/you
