Verb correr or verb ejecutar?

This is my sentence and my translation: "The signals are run through the algorithms to find the correct word associated with this hand movement"..."Las señales están corriendo de los algoritmos a encontrar la palabra precisa asociado con este movimiento de la mano." Do I use the verb correr or the verb ejecutar for "the signals are run through the algorithms" ("las señales están corriendo de los algoritmos")?

I would say in English "the signals are processed by the algorithms in order to. . ." and translate that into Spanish as "las señales son procesadas por los algoritmos para. . ."

You are using the passive voice rather than the progressive tense, and it is easier to convert the phrase in English before translating it (at least for me at my beginner level.)
