A "by" question

I am well aquainted with the fact that in Spanish, "por" means "by" (among other things). However, every example that I have seen "by" is used for the location component in English. Is it the same translation for me to make a powerpoint and say it was done by me? In other words, would I use por for by, in the context that I am trying to say I made something?
