I saw this sign online today..... How does it translate to English? Is Mija a person's name? I couldn't find anything in the translator or dictionary.

short for mi hija, which means "my daughter" but can also be used as slang between female friends as "girl, friend, etc." (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mija)

A man can also call his lady "mija"... I used to have a mexican boyfriend who called me "mija" all the time.
