Do you have any suggestions for transcribing spanish?

I am doing a project where we record an interview someone in spanish and then go back later and write down what they said. I can't understand some parts and I don't know what to do..

Yeah. Open a notepad / tomboynotes / wordthingie whatever window. Listen to it while focusing on the open window with a clear head. Write down what you hear. Leave blanks where you can't understand or write xxxxx.

Like this:

Ambos fueran de xxxxxx edad pero solx xx chicas xxxxx en xxxxxx finalmente.

Something like that.

Then go back and listen to it again.

I have transcribed many things. At first it was all xxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxxxxx en xxxx xxxx xxxxxx and gradually became Si los hombres etc.... where I got it all.

Just keep listening it takes ages to learn where the gaps are in the conversation.
