What word would you use for a "tab" on a website

My students are creating websites in spanish and including tabs to link to certain pages. What word should we use for "tab"?

If you're talking about opening a new tab in your web browser (not opening a new window) to be able to look at 2 different pages at the same time, then the word is 'pestaña'.
'Abrir una nueva pestaña'.

Well, I know some people just use "tab"... as in "abrir un nuevo tab" in your web browser.

If you are talking about the Tab button, is "tabulador".
