Seguir vs. Perseguir

Is there a difference between the two? Isn't pursue the same as to follow? Are these two used interchangeably?

Seguir = follow
Perseguir = chase
Is it the same?

I agree with chileno.
Also, "to follow" and "to pursue" are not the same thing in English. It could possibly look the same in some cases, but the intent is different.
