slam dunked it, passed it easily?

Wow, I would have thought the opposite, great to know

slam an exam as a slogan:

¡Tu examen: coser y cantar!

...: pan comido

...: un juego de niños

We are promoting the CSTs at our school. "Slam the exam" is our advertising phrase. We want students to slam the cst (score proficient or advance)...I hope this answers your question.

Mayfe the "slam" is an abbreviation of "slam dunked"? Isn't the latter a reference to baseball? - lagartijaverde, Oct 16, 2011

I don't know where you heard this phrase, but it is not a common American English phrase. What was the context?
