How would you say: “The food was delicious.” ?

or

La comida fue deliciosa.

It's "La comida estaba deliciosa" or "La comida estuvo deliciosa" because food tastes good, it isn't good itself as people are capable.

I would say fue if it was always delicious and estuvo if it tasted delicious and era if it was delicious until you noticed a cockroach in it and then decided that it wasn't delicious after all and you changed your mind about the delicousness of things.

In linguistics we said that both are correct, but someone who is very strict with the language would say..

Estaba - is something you still eat so minutes ago were good now is awful

'Fue' would be te correct one but if you put 'estuvo' sounds better is correct is formal and is good wink
