Question regarding age and adjectives

Hello everyone! I was hoping one of the knowledgeable folks on here could please help with a question regarding age and adjectives. So, when saying how old my friend is in Spanish, I would say: "Tiene veintidós años." In the proceeding sentence, is "veintidós" considered an adjectives as it describes the noun "años"?

Thanks in advance...this forum is great!

Hi Viggo. Just a couple of minor corrections to your English if you are interested (probably just typos): "you'r" → "you're"...."adjetives" → "adjectives" - Izanoni1, Oct 9, 2011
Hey thanks for that. Learned already - Viggo, Oct 9, 2011
