Lavar la ropa
In lesson 1.13, "To wash the clothes" is translated "Lavar la ropa". Since you're washing clothes plural, shouldn't the correct translation be "Lavar las ropas".
Thanks for any help!

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
There are a number of nouns which are plural in English but singular in Spanish.
La ropa is one of these. "La ropa" = "the clothes".
El pantalon = the pants.
I think there are examples where it works the other way, but I can't think of any at this instant.
Think of "ropa" as "clothing."
