Something weird going on when I try to format a post!

Question

Is this happening to anyone else?

When I try to select a portion of my post to highlight it, bold it or whatever, instead of it going blue to show which text I've chosen I just get a popup that says 'Share' by Meebo - I thought that I was unable to edit my post but even though there wasn't anything highlighted I tried hitting the bold 'B' and it does still work - but it's a pain when you can't see what exactly you have highlighted.

Now, having said that I've just tried selecting some text again and now it's working - it's going blue as usual, very strange!

There is a new tool bar at the bottom of the page which seems to be causing this. If you click anywhere near the bar it sends you off to another page. If you move your page up away from this bar you can avoid this. (I think)

Happens to me too, MC. I use Google Chrome.

I can bold etc but only by typing ** before and after, my highlighting goes as soon as I attempt to right-click or move away from it.

Yesterday I was using Chrome,,,,and it does happen, I wonder why as it has never done that before.

One cannot highlight anything and one cannot copy and posts. I will call an admin to this, thanks kiwi.

this does not happen on Firefox, but it is annoying, I agree.

Hmmm, jelly was talking about just this when we talked last night.

My first post on this subject probably was not clear.

The new tool bar may or may not be causing Kiwi's problem - I don't know.

What I do know is that (on my computer using Chrome) there is a sort of floating random ad on the left side of the bar which protrudes above the bar. Usually it is a groupon ad.

People keep telling me that I can Hide the bar if it is causing a problem. I know that. The tool bar does not bother me

Now, even when the bar is hidden the floating ad is invisible but it is still there protruding above the hidden tool bar and if I click in that portion of the window I am sent to the Groupon ad.

It is quite irritating but I have learned to move my screen up before approaching the lower left hand area of the screen. If there is a way to block this kind of ad I would love to hear how to do it.

For those who are having problems with the toolbar or they just don't like it, you can always hide it.

The bold font is working for me

You can still highlight all the texts to copy them Kiwi, just don't click on Share

The new SD tool bar at the bottom is very good, l can even connect to FB with it, share stuff on SD faster than before.

Yes, I can't copy and post on chrome. I thought it was my computer. I tried to fix it for hours. Thanks so much for clarifying this.
