Meebo. The toolbar at the bottom. Share. What's this about?
So in case you don't know our last chatroom was through Meebo. It was OK. But we switched to Tinychat and it is awesome. It is like Skype, microphones, everything , big chat window. It's awesome.
So no more Meebo.
But now I have this "toolbar" at the bottom of my screen. I assume you have it too. "Online Masters Degrees". Share Page, Twitter, Word of the Day. It's not so bad really. But it also says "Connect to Meebo" And clicking inside a thread says "Share with Meebo". Is this some kind of guilt thing because we switched to Tinychat which is superior? (try to chat forum if you haven't in a month or so) Is this toolbar here forever?
Gracias.

I don't mind there being a tool bar especially if I can hide it but if it is responsible for mucking up my text selection ability when I post, both for cutting and pasting and for highlighting to bold etc, then I'm not liking it at al! :(
See, look, here's my 'not happy' face to prove it!

At the far right of the tool bar there is a down-ward pointing arrow. Click it to hide the tool bar.
Have no idea what's up with the meebo thing....my understanding was that meebo no longer exists as a free chat service at all...anywhere.
The toolbar is fine it isn't intrusive. What is annoying is the message that pops up when you highlight anything, it makes it almost impossible to copy and paste.
I don't mind the toolbar, I hid it. What I mind is my browser periodically halts for 15 seconds (spinning cursor) and in the bottom left of my screen I get a message about transferring data to meebo.com. I don't mind their presence, but when they start slowing down my machine, they need to go.
I'm going to block their domain and see how it effects my time here on SpanishDict.
So this bar is really annoying huh? This discussion is the original from two days ago.
Gracias.
I noticed it on the PC and I really had to look for it on the Mac. I googled it.
