Llorar, for to cry with tears. Gritar for shouting out loudly.

Un grito, for the shout, or cry for help, for example.

As a verb llorar... (to cry), as a noun... lloro. but a cry, as in a shout or scream would be "gritar" (to shout/yell) or "grito" (as a noun, like "the cry/shout")

The infinitive of "To cry" is "Llorar" Infinitive is the verb in its pure expression, before it has been modified by tenses. All infinitive verbs in English start with "To" follow by the verb (To eat, to cry, to dance, to laugh, etc.). All infinitive verbs in Spanish, ends in "a", "er" or "ir" (Comer, llorar, bailar, reir, etc.)
