Welcome to the forum! "I" must be capitalized in English. Please use correct spelling and capitalization in this forum, because students are learning both English and Spanish. - pesta, Oct 4, 2011

Hi and welcome to the forum. Llover is the infinitive form of the verb. Llueve is the third person singular conjugation of the verb.

Llover (to rain) is the infinitive form of the verb and llueve is the 3rd person, singular, present tense of the indicative mood conjugation of the verb. (it is raining/ it rains/ it does rain, etc.)

Obviously he rains/ she rains...would only have meaning in a very narrow contexts. Tears rained down from her eyes types of context.

As others have pointed out, these are different forms of the same word. Take a peek at the full conjugation table: llover

Interesting because some dictionaries only list 3rd person entries. I rain having no meaning. I rained down a series of profane epithets upon him is consideres a phrasal verb usage. - 0074b507, Oct 4, 2011
Same with verbs like nevar. I snow has little meaning. Our dictionary lists them all, however. - 0074b507, Oct 4, 2011
It's worth remembering that our conjugator is somewhat mechanical, and used to conjugate any word ending in "ar" even if it wasn't a verb.... :) - pesta, Oct 4, 2011
