Isla de Apoyo....Is this like a chat room? (closed)

Question

Sorry for the stupid leading question, however I was referred here very nicely because of what was probably also another stupid question.

Yo estudio espanol, pero......perdone hablan ingles?

I've learnt some very basic Spanish via rosetta stone (levels 1-3) and want to learn more but have become VERY disheartened (partly due to joining this community, although it is fantastic!). I have found even in the very first lesson I do not understand the English terminology used with regard to the structure of sentences. This has meant I have become even more disheartened, now I do not even feel I understand English adequately enough in order to learn Spanish.

If it is like a chat room, can anyone share how they coped with and learnt the tenses of Spansih verbs without such technical English grammar, or share a good place to learn the English terminology used?

Hi, it is just a thread like this, but people contribute the problems they have faced in their learning journey, and sometimes share their successes too.

I find it really encouraging to hear from people who seem to know loads more than me that they have had similar problems along the way.

Well if this is what you are referring to it is another thread of stories similar to yours. It is not a chatroom so feel free to simply open the link.
