"Esta" means "this". It is a demonstrative adjectives, and it is used before feminine nouns.

Está is a form of verb estar. It is the third person singular form of that verb in the present tense, indicative mood. Están is the third person plural form of the verb estar, also in the present tense, indicative mood.

¿Cómo está? - "How are you?" (you being you formal); "How is she?"; "How is he?"; "How is it?"

Welcome to the forum.

As you can see, the spanish accent is very important and can change the whole meaning of spanish words.

Take "más" for example which is an adverb meaning more. But if you drop the accent and use "mas" it becomes a conjunction meaning but, yet or a masculine noun meaning farm house or the plus sign. Therefore whenever asking question here, please make sure you type the accent to get a proper answer.
