Context: ¡No veo ninguna gotas de lluvia!

I do not see any raindrops!

Correction: ningunas

Recearch: nunca adverb 1. (en frases afirmativas) never ; (en frases negativas) ever

Question: Is it only the negative adjectives that need pluralization or can "nunca" - ever be plural nuncas as an adverb? Sorry if my thoughts are confusing! grin

Hi there, bandit!

Nunca, as any adverb, can never be plural.

Nevers? Alwayses?

Ningún/a/os/as is not and adverb, but an adjective, and as such must agree in gender in number with the noun it modifies.

No veo ninguna gotas

No veo ninguna gota

No veo ningunas gotas

That helps a lot, adverbs in Spanish are never pluralized, but adjectives are. Gracias! - bandit51jd, Sep 30, 2011

"not an adverb" -- "in gender and (in) number ". (You've been spending too much time communicating with Heidita). - samdie, Sep 30, 2011
Your central argument though is, of course, "spot on". (more British than American usage). - samdie, Sep 30, 2011
