My example:

I didn't want to give that guy my real number, just in case, you know? But now I have to wait here until he calls.

This is almost as comfortable as one of those Japanese mini-hotel rooms, and it takes coins, too.

I asked for a big room with a phone but I don't think he got me... He gave me a big telephone with a small room.

One has to be really in love if you want to spend the night there waiting for a telephone call . . . . .

Great job, Kiwi! -- Using "rezar" sounds a bit strange in this context. Perhaps "Le pido a Dios que..." - gintar77, Sep 28, 2011
oh ok - how about orar? - Kiwi-Girl, Sep 28, 2011
I guess the reason it sounds strange to me is because "rezar" and "orar" mean "to pray" in the sense of "to say a prayer". The way you used "pray" sounds more like "I hope". - gintar77, Sep 28, 2011
oh well I actually meant pray because she was on her knees - so rezo is ok? - Kiwi-Girl, Sep 28, 2011
OK, so maybe it's better to say in English: I'm praying for his mother not to answer...? -- Spanish: Estoy rezando para que su madre ... - gintar77, Sep 28, 2011

If she is so lovesick that she is able to squeeze herself into so narrow a place and spend the whole night there , I don't understand why she cannot give her phone number.

This is what happens when you order a room with a phone but are not really fluent.
