How beneficial would it be to have a progressive audi-visual lab component ?
In the learning process, a student who is able to immerse him/herself in both the spoken and visual experience in a progressive manner appears to profit more than in separated and disjointed approaches.

I use as many methods as I can get my hands on. The majority of my learning has been disjointed.
That said, I think that you can't get very far until you speak with actual people. I think that's the major downfall of most high school and university classes. Not enough conversation. People study for years and they can read and write, but not hold a conversation. (This is a generalized statement and is obviously not true for all people/all programs.)
I would prefer to study in a more progressive manner but that is not available to me where I live. I strongly believe in immersion if it is at all possible. I learned more in 3 weeks in México then I even had before. It is a perfect blend of being immersive, progressive, and consistent.
