An Ethnographic documentary video.

Modern rural Mexico simulates a battle with an authentic folkloric pageant.

Representation of the Battle for Mexico Independence against the Spanish, features four queens: The red dressed Aztec queen holding a revolver pointed upward;

The second queen is Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez — Born Sept. 8, 1768, in Morelia, Mexico;participated with her husband Miguel Dominguez in what became "The Conspiracy of Queretaro" against the Spanish. She died March 2, 1829, in Mexico City, having lived to see her country gain its independence.

The third queen is Adelita, a bullet-belted heroine of the Mexican Revolution of 1910-1920, and the fourth queen is the Queen of Spain. Horsemen: Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, José María Morelos y Pavon, Ignacio Allende, and Guadalupe Victoria; a soldier and politician born in what is now Durango on Sept. 29, 1786. He fought in the army that succeed in winning independence from the Spanish, and went on to be elected president of Mexico in 1824, serving until 1829.

The fourth Queen is, of course, the Queen of Spain.
