I am suppose to say "Who is Bianca's father?" Should I write "Quien es padre de Bianca" or "Quien es Bianca's padre"?
1 Answer
Never, ever use apostrophe s for Spanish possession!!!! That's an English thing.
In Spanish, we have three ways to express possession.
1) We use the possessive adjectives in the long way
2) We use the possessive adjectives in the short way
3) We use the word de
For your phrase, we are going to use #3.
Quien es padre de Bianca
This is almost perfect; we just need to put in some punctuation, an article, and an accent.
¿Quién es el padre de Bianca?
