what's the difference between two Spanish words for husband?

Hola,
I want to find out how to say husband in Spanish, and I found two translations: el marido and el esposo. Is there any difference between the two?

No difference, both can be used.

It depends on the region which is used and in some regions the meaning changes from husband to live in companion. See previous threads on the topic.
