How do you read an analogy in Spanish?

For example, if I want to say "glove is to hand as shoe is to foot."

My guess: Guante is para mano como zapato es para pie.

Thanks for the help!

The correct translation would be:

"el guante es para la mano como el zapato es para el pie"

Though it is a graphic analogy in Spanish as well and could be used, it is actually a proverb or a saying which in Spanish is a 'refrán'.

You can find many 'refranes' on the internet that may be useful
