Yo practico artes marciales-> I Practice martial arts. Yo soy práctico-> I am Practical.

Se Ejercitó -> He exercised. El Ejército-> The Army.

Nada-> Swim. Náda-> Nothing. (Explain, the correct form to write is "Nada" but sounds like "Náda")

Duro-> Hard. Duró-> Lasted.

Ola -> Wave. Hola-> Hello.

Ojear-> Look. Hojear-> To leaf through/ To turn the leaves of a book.

Errar-> Mistake. Herrar un caballo-> Shoeing a horse.

Onda-> Ripple. Honda-> Slingshot.

Ora-> Pray. Hora-> Time.

Oyó-> Hear. Hoyo-> Hole.

Orca-> Killer Whale. Horca-> Gallows.

In Spain we call this "omitted subject", for example "Fueron en su coche" we understand is "(Ellos) fueron en su coche" But do not write, is the same with "Se ejercito" you can say too "Él se ejercito" ^^. - Neox, Sep 20, 2011

Also: Que and Qué. You might be thinking the accent doesn't make any difference as far as stress is concerned, but actually it does.

PAra que = so that (the stress is on "pa")

para QUÉ = what for (stress is on qué)

¿QUÉ tienes? = What do you have? (stress is on qué)

que TIEnes = that you have (stress is on "tie")

Omission of the tilde may (maybe even "will") result to confusion.

La palabra Náda no está registrada en el Diccionario. Las que se muestran a continuación tienen una escritura cercana.
